Über dieses E-Book

Henry's first case as a licensed private investigator. Someone's determined to make it his last.

Henry Walsh's PI license is barely two weeks old when Angela Thompson walks into his office with an impossible question: was her ex-husband's bike accident really an accident?

The sheriff thinks so. But Angela's convinced John Thompson was murdered—and the list of people who wanted him dead isn't short. Between shady business deals, two dead wives, and a young widow with secrets of her own, Henry has more suspects than evidence.

He's in over his head, and he knows it. Good thing his partner, ex-cop Alex Jepson, doesn't scare easily.

But when someone runs them off the road in a near-fatal collision, the message is clear: stop digging, or join John Thompson in the grave. Now Henry has to decide if solving his first case is worth dying for...

Autoren-Profil

Gregory Payette writes crime fiction, mysteries, and thrillers and is the author of the Henry Walsh Private Investigator series. His crime fiction includes Drag the Man Down, Half Cocked, Danny Womack's .38, and the new Joe Sheldon series.

He spent the early part of his career in marketing and advertising, plus wrote fundraising letters and emails for nonprofits. He got his feet wet as an author writing nonfiction books, but soon realized making up stories for a living was much more fun.

His books and short stories include fun and exciting mysteries with plenty of twists and turns, plus his thrilling crime fiction novels, always with plenty of heart-pounding action and a touch of dark humor.

Raised in the tiny state of Rhode Island in southeastern New England, today Gregory lives in North Carolina with his wife and kids and his dog, Jake.
