My name is Mason Cyrille Elong Ewing. My mother Marie died when I was barely 4 years old. She left behind a child with a fragile destiny. In Cameroon, my nickname was Toro. For a better life, I then travelled to France to live with my aunt and uncle. I was promised this would be a wonderful experience, but nobody told me it would be hell. I become, Lucien, a slave. When I was 14, I fell into a coma. When I woke up, I had become blind. My destiny had no color and became increasingly darker, until one day I was able to create a little hope, a little light and a few bursts of color. Today, I have turned my misfortunes into victories and I wanted to share my story to inspire the world. Even though I can no longer see, my eyes are wide open to contemplate my Destiny. The one I have chosen.

نبذة عن المؤلف

D’origine Franco-camerounaise et américaine, j’ai perdu ma mère à l’âge de 4ans. Accueilli par mon arrière grand-mère, j’ai été placé par la suite auprès de ma grand-tante à l’âge de 7 ans dans le 94 à Choisy-le-Roi.

Le séjour chez ma grand tante et son mari fut des plus éprouvants. En effet, pendant des années, ils me firent subir les plus atroces sévices et humiliations (coups répétitifs,tortures, piments dans les yeux, etc.) C’est à la suite d’une de ses séances de maltraitance que j’ai perdu la vue après être tombé dans le coma.

Je fus placé définitivement à la DASS à la suite de ces péripéties. Pendant toutes ces années et pour supporter mon quotidien, je pensais à ma mère, ancienne modéliste styliste qui dans ses temps libres dessinait et créait des modèles pour ses 3 enfants. Je traînais dans ses pieds entre le tissu et le bruit de la machine.
