This is a strongly character-driven book that delves into Bashir's fear of intimacy. Having lost his family as a child in a Somali flood, he's wary of giving his heart to Yusra. This is the primary conflict of the book—it doesn't spend much time on the drama and upheaval of the baby swap. This is a marriage of convenience book rather than a blended family book. I enjoyed the Muslim representation and the African setting. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
