About the author

Syead Wahabuddin Nasir was born and brought up in Patna and has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from Patna University. He has visited many Tiger Reserves, National Parks, and Wildlife Sanctuaries in India and abroad. For the past decade, he has been a regular visitor to the popular Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India. The author has been passionately interested in wildlife and its sustainable conservation since his childhood days. When he was in school, he wrote a detailed account of his visits to the celebrated Corbett and Ranthambhore Tiger Reserves, which got published as a book entitled Wonderful Days in Tiger Lands. During his graduation years, he wrote The Tiger: Keeper of the Forest, and during his M.Sc., he wrote Tiger: The Soul of the Wild. Both these were based on his multiple visits to the different National Parks and Tiger Reserves across India and Nepal. His books hold valuable facts about our National Animal and other wild denizens in addition to the awesome memories he made in the wilderness. At present, the author is indulged in studying wildlife and actively takes part in awareness campaigns for the conservation of India’s precious forests and other natural habitats.
