About the author

Ayon Chakraborty is currently an Associate Professor in the Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques area at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, India. He obtained his doctorate from Industrial and Systems Engineering Department, National University of Singapore after completing his masters in Manufacturing Systems from BITS, Pilani with distinction. He is also a qualified Six Sigma Green Belt. Previously he was Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Services Science Discipline, Information Systems School at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Ayon has more than eleven years of experience in teaching business students and executives at various institutes such as Queensland University of Technology, James Cook University Australia (Singapore Campus). He has handled core MBA courses on service operations and innovation management, project management, quality planning and management, and quantitative techniques. As a researcher, he has worked closelywith public sector organizations in Singapore and with Suncorp, Infosys Australia, and Queensland government. Sirish Kumar Gouda is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques area at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, India. His research interests include Sustainable operations and Behavioral operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Warangal. He worked as a software consultant for Manhattan Associates, a supply chain management solution provider and, Content Developer for Abhyaas, an educational start-up. He then joined the FPM in Production and Operations Management Department at IIM Bangalore. Before joining IIM Trichy, he also had a short stint with Center for Digital Financial Inclusion as an Associate Research Manager. He has a publication in the European Journal of Operational Research. He has also presented his research work in several National and International Conferences. Gajanand is an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques area at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, India. He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai and a Ph.D. from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He worked for Ernst and Young Global Shared Services, Bangalore before joining the Ph.D. programme. He has publications in reputed International Journals such as International Journal of Production Research, Transport Reviews, International Journal of Logistics Research and Applications and in the International Journal of Operational Research. He has presented his research work in various leading International Conferences. His current research interests include distribution planning, vehicle routing and Green Logistics. He is a Lifetime Member of the Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) and the Society of Operations Management (SOM).
