Stolen

So many thoughts trapped inside my head. The past crashes down like waves out of nowhere often. I needed to get out of these thoughts. I carry them with me everywhere I go. They enter my dreams, creep up in the middle of some days, and hit hard. The waves aren’t as hard as they used to be, but they are always there. Reminding me that life can change on a dime. Enjoy every moment as if it’s your last. This is why I wrote this book—to get it out. I also wrote this book to maybe help others going through similar things, to remind them that they aren’t alone and that time does heal. It doesn’t erase it, but you learn to deal with it. To my readers, I hope you enjoy the words written. I grew up in West Texas until my teenage years, then moved to the Midwest. I have lived in South Dakota, Wyoming, Alabama, and California. The central coast is a place I will always call my home. Now, in Austin near my youngest child, this new frontier has been a place I’ve called home for the last two years. With four children and three grandchildren so far, I’m appreciating the treasured little moments.
