Recently, I discovered Sunstone by sheer coincidence, and I'm glad I did. As a BDSM fetishist myself, I was searching for BDSM books to read, and came across Sunstone covers with art that I immediately recognized from reading Witchblade comics - the one-of-a-kind, exquisitely detailed and realistic art of Stjepan Sejic. This comic is exceptionally well-written, with very strong character development that shows a deep understanding of human emotional states and personalities. These characters behave like real people, with believable intentions and motives. An amazing thing about it is that even without any BDSM or erotic themes, this comic could still be a great romance story. And I am saying this as someone who doesn't have any interest in romance at all; yet, I still find the romance aspects of this work to be intriguing. Although it is a comic, I would say that it presents more like an illustrated novel than a traditional comic. It's unique in its own way, and highly recommended.

I am still looking for a physical copy if there are any. How ever this comic is so touching and educational in some ways, learning through someone else pain of relationship problems. The comic does point out that communication and community is a bit portion. If you are buying book 1 then buy the whole set.

This author is a genius at illustrating and story telling. Not to mention that his other works, like death vigil and those of his wife all happen in the same shared universe. If you love well written stories, clever jokes and kinky dressed women, this comic is great for you.
