This book presents eleven classic papers by the late Professor Suzanne Scotchmer with introductions by leading economists and legal scholars. About the author

Stephen M. Maurer is Adjunct Professor of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley. A long-time friend and colleague of the late Professor Scotchmer, he co-authored eight articles and book chapters with her from 1999–2014. Trained as a lawyer, Maurer specializes in innovation, antitrust, and science policy. He is the editor and co-author of the book WMD Terrorism: Science and Policy Choices (2007).
