Swami Ashokananda (1893 - 1969) was a disciple of Swami Vivekananda and a monk of the Ramakrishna Order of monks. He served as the editor of Prabduddha Bharata Magazine from 1926 to 1930 and was the Minister-in-charge of the Vedanta Society of Northern California, San Francisco from 1932 until his passing away in 1969.
