Alexander Mladenov is an aviation & defence author and journalist. His work has appeared in no fewer than 20 defence publications around the world, including AirForces Monthy, AIR International, Combat Aircraft and Defence Helicopter] he also published two books on the subject of Soviet military aircraft. His main research interests include the post-WWII military aviation developments, especially the jet fighters/bombers and helicopters designed between the 1950s and 1990s in the Soviet Union as well as the War in Afghanistan in the 1980s, the Soviet and Warsaw Pact Air Defence & Tactical Aviation developments and combat employment strategy and tactics.
