After eight years as a pilot in the Royal Navy flying jet aircraft from the decks of aircraft carriers, the writer moved to a new challenge---that of starting a farm in the wilds of the African bush in Northern Rhodesia. After nearly twenty years as a successful farmer growing tobacco and maize and ranching some four hundred cattle on an adjoining farm the “Winds of Change” forced him to return to the flying world. Starting as a “Charter pilot” in Zambia he ended his career flying and teaching pilots in the BAC 1-11 aircraft in Cyprus.
نبذة عن المؤلف
Born in Watford, Herts in 1932 the Author married Sally Cullen, a Wren Officer in 1958. They brought up two children Wendy and Ian who now have their own families and lives of their own, living near London.
Their three grandchildren are a great incentive to move back to England after some forty years overseas, but so far the attraction of sunny weather and its relaxed way of life has kept them happily in Cyprus, except during the three hot summer months which they spend touring in their caravan to see friends and family in England
