Samajsastra Prakash

Dr. Ramdas Pandey "Gambhir" was an Indian writer, principal and philosopher. He had written forty books, most of which were on research. His research topic was "Existentialism". He was the author of Astitva Prakashan, which was registered in his name. He was also a senior member of Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Committee, a committee of literary writers in Basti district. He was the principal of many schools and colleges, including Shaheed Inter College Madhuban, Jhinkulal Inter College Basti, Kanya Mahavidyalaya Basti and many other schools.

He was born on 10 February 1943 in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. He had written about former US President Barack Obama in his book, for which he received an invitation from America to honor him, but in the same year he lost his ability to speak and write due to brain hemorrhage and he became unable to go. Some of his books were displayed in many senior colleges and literary fairs of Uttar Pradesh.

His grandson Sudarshan Pandey "Naman" is also a writer who is carrying forward the literary legacy of Dr. Ramdas Pandey ji. Sudarshan Pandey "Naman"'s books are published nationally and internationally.

Dr. Ramdas Pandey "Gambhir" died of cardiac arrest on 24 October 2024 at his Basti residence and a great star of the literary world shone.
