This book “Statistics - I” designed for the branches of Computer Science students of VISTAS, Pallavaram, Chennai. The book covers the syllabus completely and exhaustively. The five units of the syllabus are presented as five chapters in the book. The numerous solved problems given in this book follow a step-by-step approach and virtually all patterns of questions are included to make this book student-friendly. We are sure that the students using this book will acquire sound knowledge in the fundamentals of the subject and be able to solve the problems easily. Exercise questions provided at the end of each chapter are framed in a manner that kindles analytical thinking. Answers have been provided to these questions, and these serve to make the concepts clearer and induce confidence in the student’s mind.

作者简介

Dr. S. SANDHIYA is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Basic Sciences, Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai – 600 117. She has completed her M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. in Mathematics. She has 12 years of experience in the teaching field. She has published around 25 research articles in national and international journals. She has successfully guided seven M.Phil. candidates. At present, she is guiding five Ph.D. research scholars. Her research interests are Fuzzy Soft Sets, Fuzzy Optimization Techniques, Fuzzy Decision Making Problems and Operations Research.

Dr. R. NAGENDRAN is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at AAA College of Engineering And Technology, Sivakasi – 626 005. He has completed B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil., in Mathematics at V.H.N.S.N College, Virudhunagar. He has 19 years of experience in the teaching field. He has a doctorate in Mathematics from Manonmaniam Sundaranar Univerisity, Tirunelveli. He has published more than 12 research articles widely in the National and the International Journals.

M. KRISHNA KUMAR is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi – 626 005. He has completed a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Mathematics at ANJA College, Sivakasi, and is further advancing his expertise with an M.Phil. from Kalasalingam University. His passion for teaching led him to pursue a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Sundareswari College, Malli. His dedication to research and academic excellence has led him to submit his Ph.D. thesis, marking a significant milestone in his scholarly journey. He has 10 years of experience in the teaching field. He has published more than 05 research articles widely in the national and international journals.
