Staatsverschuldung als Gegenstand nationaler Wirtschaftspolitik Das Thema Staatsverschuldung begegnet dem aufmerksamen Zei tungsleser in zwei Gestalten: einerseits als Problem nationaler Haus haltspolitik und andererseits als existentielle Bedrohung der wirt schaftlichen Selbstbestimmung von Staaten bis hin zum nach be triebswirtschaftlichen Kriterien bereits faktisch erreichten Staatsbankrott vor allem in den Ländern der Dritten Welt und den ehemaligen bzw. weiter als solche agierenden Staatshandelsländern (siehe Anhang: Osteuropas Schulden).
