About the author

Dr. Ruan is a fellow of NAI, ASABE, IFT, IAAM, and Vebleo, also a top cited author in engineering and technologies with an h-index of 96, i10-index of 473 and over 35,000 citations. Dr. Ruan has published over 600 papers in refereed journals, co-authored 2 books, 28 book chapters, and over 300 meeting papers and reports, and holds 20 US patents. His research focuses on various aspects of renewable energy and the environment, value-added processing, sustainable development, and food engineering.

Dr. Dai’s research focuses on valorization of various solid wastes, such as municipal solid waste, lignocellulosic biomass, waste cooking oil, and plastic waste, with the aim of producing renewable fuels, chemicals, and materials. Dr. Dai has co-authored over 80 papers in refereed journals, with a Google H index of 40 and over 4,000 citations. He has been enlisted in “World's Top 2% Scientists List. He has served as an associate editor of Frontiers in Chemical Engineering, a topical advisory panel member of Molecules, an editorial board member of Thermal Science and Engineering, and a subject editor of Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, Molecules, and Journal of Renewable Materials.
