The Rift of Wings is born out of that question, a tale where science collides with history, where a man built for the future finds himself stranded in the past, and where love challenges the very flow of time. At its heart, this book is about more than flight or time travel; it is about human resilience, the pull of destiny, and the fragile, powerful connections that can bridge centuries.
As you turn these pages, you will follow Jack, a test pilot who dares to push beyond the limits of the sky, only to discover that the real journey is not measured in miles per hour, but in the choices of the heart. You will meet Jenny, a woman bound to her world yet caught in a fate she could never imagine. And together, they will teach us that sometimes, the greatest battles are not fought with wings or weapons, but with love, loss, and the courage to face what lies beyond the storm.
What Inspired Me to Write this Book?
Stories often take shape from fragments of thought, fleeting dreams, or unanswered questions that linger in the mind. The Rift of Wings was born from my fascination with the unknown, the space where history, imagination, and the future meet. I wanted to explore what happens when humanity dares to look beyond its limits, when courage meets vulnerability, and when time itself bends under the weight of destiny.
As I developed this story, I drew inspiration from two powerful forces: the marvel of aviation and the human spirit’s hunger for connection. Airplanes and flight have always represented freedom and the defiance of gravity’s chains. To me, they symbolize not just machines in the sky but bridges between past and future, between hope and despair. At the same time, the human heart is forever caught between love, sacrifice, and the ache of separation. That tension is what I wanted to capture in this book.
The characters came alive as reflections of our own struggles. They are dreamers torn between choices, pilots confronting not only the storms in the skies but also those within themselves. Through them, I hoped to show that time travel is not only a journey across ages but also an inward journey into our own fears and desires.
The Rift of Wings is more than just a story of flight and time. It is a story of resilience, longing, and the eternal search for meaning. Writing it allowed me to bring together my love for storytelling, my curiosity about what lies beyond the horizon, and my belief that even in the harshest turbulence, there is always a chance to rise again.
