The U.S.S. Excalibur has been obliterated. Its captain, Mackenzie Calhoun is gone. Elsewhere in the Alpha Quadrant, Lieutenant Robin Lefler and her enigmatic mother travel to the pleasure planet Risa where they encounter a genuine Starfleet legend....
