About the author
Prof Dr Shaharuddin Badaruddin was a professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Deputy Vice Chancellor at University Selangor (UNISEL). He was elected as Seri Setia Assemblyman for Peoples' Justice Party (PKR) in Malaysia General Election 2018 and appointed as state councillor. He was also one of the leadership of Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia and WADAH. He wrote and published many book on political science and civil society.
