The old graveyard sat on the outskirts of town, its tombstones weathered and worn, the names upon them fading with the passage of time. Thick fog would often roll in from the nearby river, blanketing the cemetery in an eerie silence. People in town whispered about strange occurrences in the graveyard, tales of whispers in the wind and apparitions among the headstones. Many claimed to have witnessed the spirits of the dead wandering the grounds in the dead of night.

It was a rainy autumn evening when a group of friends gathered at the local pub, seeking shelter from the storm.
