About this ebook

Farm animals take on Britain's Got Talent, in this laugh-out-loud funny rhyming romp! From Peter Bently and Jim Field - illustrator of the bestselling Oi Frog books.

Then Buttercup Jersey, the moonwalking cow, caused cries of 'Incredible!', 'Knockout!' and 'Wow!'
She glided and twisted and then did the splits. It was utterly stunning. They loved her to bits!

Old Farmer Clegg may be tucked up for the night, but down in the farmyard, a talent show is about to take place.
Who has what it takes to be a star?
The break-dancing cow?
The honky-tonk geese?
Meg, the egg-laying, Mozart-singing hen?
Or maybe a certain sleep-walking farmer...

With a bouncy rhyming story and lively, comedy-packed illustrations from the bestselling Jim Field, this is the perfect read-aloud treat!

About the author

Peter Bently lives in the writer-filled town of Totnes with his wife and a ready-made audience of two young children. A prolific picture-book author, he enjoys visiting schools and sharing his writing. Peter has previously published two books with Macmillan: the terrifically toothy THE SHARK IN THE DARK (978 0 230 70735 1) with illustrator Ben Cort, and the irresistible CATS AHOY! (978 0 330 51880 2) with Jim Field.

Jim Field is a lead-driven, pencil-pushing, 25-frames-per-second, Led Zeppelin fan. He is also a hugely talented illustrator and animation director whose previous clients have included Waterstones, Sainsbury's, Oxfam, The Independent, The Guardian, The FT, Channel 4, Virgin Mobile and Nokia. FARMER CLEGG'S NIGHT OUT is his second picture book and Jim has once again employed his vibrant, energetic style and witty detail to brilliant effect.
