As a God-fearing Christian, I am afraid of things I don't understand, homosexuals, and abortion. Why anyone who claims to know the Lord would support anything to do with Plan B is beyond me.

Pete Wilson understands that God is unpredictable. People, especially religious people, are tempted to think they can get God to do what they want Him to do for them. But God seems to continually surprise us, by acting in ways, by inserting circumstances into our lives, that we didn't see coming.
Wilson calls this "Plan B," and his firm but compassionate wisdom about God's ways is a tonic for the soul.

By Pete Wilson
I just read Plan B by Pete Wilson, and I loved it! I got it for free from booksneeze (a website that exchanges books for book reviews). In a nutshell, discusses the ins and outs of why things don't always turn out the way you'd expect, but more-so about how we should view those times, and where we can find our hope. When all hope seems lost, when our schedule, our plan, or our formula to the perfect life just doesn't seem to be working out the way we imagined, what do we do? What do good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people? Why, when everything finally starts to come together, does life take the most unexpected twists and turns - screwing everything up? Why can't things work out our way? Pete's answer is not some secret, some special ingredient, or some formula that guarantees results in 2-3 weeks. He speaks practically, using real-life examples and illustrations – his own experiences – to describe his message and provide the reader a view into his life.
Pete Wilson is very transparent in his book, Plan B, which gives the reader a sense of intimacy. It sets him on the same level as those he's speaking (or writing) to. He writes in a casual tone that is very, 'seeker-friendly;' yet, at the same time, it has lessons and concepts that are beneficial to everyone regardless of age or maturity. He doesn't load his text with a bunch of super-spiritual or religious terminology, but he speaks with a friendly and inviting tone. Plan B was a joy to read. I recommend this book to everyone who is in a tough situation where it seems that God just hasn't come through.
