About the author
Angela Thomas is geboren en getogen in Jackson, Mississippi. In haar tienerjaren trad ze regelmatig op als rapper. The Hate U Give was haar debuut en werd verfilmd door Fox 2000. Ook haar tweede boek, Niet te stoppen, werd verfilmd. De roos uit het beton is de prequel op THUG en verscheen in 2021. In 2023 verschijnt bij Moon het eerste deel in haar nieuwe trilogie voor 10+.
