About this ebook

Promised by Jesus and sent to the Apostles in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit has continued to faithfully enable the disciple-making mission of the Church through the ages. But what does it look like for the Spirit of God to move in power in your community today?

To answer this complex and exciting question, Nick and Ali Herbert delve into the Bible as well as the rich history of the Holy Spirit's work, examining revivals and moves of the Spirit that have shaped the course of Christianity. Using their own experience of Spirit-led ministry, they explore the practical aspects and potential pitfalls of prayer ministry in church. Including issues such as:

- hearing God's voice
- embracing the gifts of the Spirit
- discerning hype from genuine encounter
- praying for healing and pastoring through crises
- overcoming spiritual obstacles
- allowing the fruits of the Spirit to grow in our hearts.

It is vital that we are alert to the presence and work of the Holy Spirit and that we are equipped to minister in his power, sharing the good news of Jesus with this generation.
