Esperian continues to question his role in these events as he struggles to rectify his own actions against the peaceful group, People’s Free State, coupled with the classified information revealed by his hidden contact within the Fed itself.
Esperian also acts on insights recently learned to be more expressive and engage more with the people around him, impacting his understanding of what it means to lead and not just serving as squad sergeant. He recognizes the opportunities lost to his aloofness, striving to overcome his awkwardness to build meaningful experiences and learn more about himself.
Esperian’s orientation within the Kulusai band complete, his current relationships grow while meeting new members and investigating an ever-deepening mystery as to their true goal on Sestanus.
Can Esperian keep competing interests aligned to protect his squad—itself still suffering for the loss of one of its own—do his job, and work toward a better future for the people of Sestanus or will he face increasing pressure to pick a side?
