I’ve seen how devastating Alzheimer’s can be for both patients and their families, and Navigating Alzheimer’s Disease is an invaluable guide for anyone facing this journey. This book provides clear, compassionate advice on understanding the disease, managing daily challenges, and maintaining meaningful connections with loved ones. The real-life stories and practical strategies make it both informative and deeply reassuring. I especially appreciate the emphasis on self-care for caregivers, which is so often overlooked. Whether you’re new to caregiving or have been on this path for years, this book offers the support and wisdom you need. A must-read for anyone caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.

Many caregivers are so busy caring for their families that they neglect self-care and future planning. This book, however, thoughtfully calls on everyone to be cared for, understood, and supported.

About the author

About the Author

Lisa Elan is an advocate dedicated to helping families facing the challenges of aging and elder care. At the age of 22, when her father became critically ill, she suddenly found herself in the role of caregiver. With no prior experience and little support, she embarked on a difficult journey that would profoundly change her life.

Her background as a dental assistant gave Lisa a deep understanding of both the healthcare system and the complex emotions involved in caregiving. Realizing that many caregivers feel overwhelmed and unprepared, she decided to create a resource hub offering heartfelt guidance and practical solutions.

After her father’s passing, Lisa’s empathy for caregivers grew even stronger. Driven by her desire to help others, she immersed herself in research and actively listened to the stories of fellow caregivers. This passion inspired her to share her own books with those navigating similar journeys.

Beyond her advocacy work, Lisa is also preparing for her own retirement and facing the realities of aging alone. Her personal experiences continue to inspire her writing, as she strives to empower others to explore their own life paths with confidence and compassion.
