Ausgehend von einer Trauerfeier für sogenannte "Sternenkinder" wird der anthropologische Entwurf Helmuth Plessners als Grundlage eines relationalen Personalitätskonzepts interpretiert. Ergänzt wird diese Perspektive durch die Konzeptionen Hartmut Rosas und Thomas Fuchs', die die menschliche Leiblichkeit zu einem zentralen Phänomen des Personseins und des humanen Weltumgangs erheben. In theologischer Perspektive wird der Umgang mit dem Tod anhand der Ansätze Tillichs, Jüngels, Pannenbergs und Ebelings beleuchtet, bevor anhand der hermeneutischen Einsichten Hans Blumenbergs und Vladimir Jankélévitchs die metaphorische Sprache als ein wesentlicher Faktor im Umgang mit der Bewältigung der Todesproblematik ausgewiesen wird. Erweitert werden diese Perspektiven durch eine ritualtheoretische Reflexion. [Name and Memory: Anthropological and Theological Perspectives on Personality and Death] Starting with a funeral service for so-called "angel babies" (Sternenkinder) this study uses Helmuth Plessner's anthropological concept as the interpretative category for a relational concept of personality. This perspective is supplemented by the intellectual concepts of Hartmut Rosa and Thomas Fuchs who both elevate human corporeality to a central interpretative phenomenon of being a person and dealing with the human world. From a theological perspective, coming to terms with the phenomenon of death is examined based on the approaches of Paul Tillich, Eberhardt Jüngel, Wolfhart Pannenberg, and Gerhard Ebeling. Following a close reading of the respective concepts it emerges in discussion with the hermeneutical concepts of Hans Blumenberg and Vladimir Jankélévitch that metaphorical language represents an essential factor in dealing with the problem of death. This perspective is broadened by a reflection anchored in ritual theory.

Anna Elisabeth Scholz, Dr. theol., Jahrgang 1982, wurde in Kassel zur Erzieherin ausgebildet und studierte danach Evangelische Theologie in Berlin und Marburg. Sie war Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Hans-von-Soden-Institut Marburg und ist Pfarrerin im Kirchenkreis Marburg. Anna Scholz ist Mitglied der Schleiermacher-Gesellschaft und Vorstandsmitglied der Jägervereinigung Marburg.
