About the author

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hadi Dehghani is a full professor at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Engineering, Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran. His scientific research interests include environmental science. He is the author of various research studies published in national and international journals and conference proceedings and head of several research projects at the TUMS. He has authored 20 books, 26 book chapters and more than 270 full papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He is an editorial board member, guest editor, and reviewer in many internal and international journals and a member of several international science committees worldwide. He is a supervisor and advisor for many PhD and MSc theses at the TUMS. He is currently also a member of the Iranian Association of Environmental Health and member of the Institute for Environmental Research at the TUMS.

Dr. Rama Rao Karri is a Professor (Sr. Asst) in the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei Darussalam. He has PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a Masters from IIT Kanpur in Chemical Engineering. He has worked as a Post-Doctoral research fellow at NUS, Singapore, for about six years and has over 20 years of working experience in Academics, Industry, and Research. He has experience working in multidisciplinary fields and has expertise in various evolutionary optimization techniques and process modelling. As of 01 Nov 2024, he has published 260 research articles in reputed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings with a combined Impact factor of 981.48 and has an h-index of 48 (Scopus-citations: 6600+) and 50 (Google Scholar-citations: 7700+). Among 145 journal publications, 123 articles (85%) published are in Q1 with an average impact factor of 9. He is an editorial board member in 10 renowned journals and a peer-review member for more than 100 reputed journals and has peer-reviewed more than 478 articles. Also, he handled 200 articles as an editor. He also has the distinction of being listed in the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists in the area of environmental sciences and chemicals for the Years 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024. The List of the Top 2% of Scientists in the World compiled and published by Stanford University is based on their international scientific publications, the number of scientific citations for research, and participation in the review and editing of scientific research. He held a position as Editor-in-Chief (2019-2021) in the International Journal of Chemoinformatics and Chemical Engineering, IGI Global, USA. He is also an Associate editor in Scientific Reports, Springer Nature (IF:4.996) & International Journal of Energy and Water Resources (IJEWR), Springer Inc. He is also a Managing Guest editor for Spl. Dr. Inderjeet Tyagi is working as a Scientist at ZSI, Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Kolkata, India. To his expertise, Dr. Tyagi is working in the field of Wastewater treatment, Water Quality, Environmental Metagenomics, and Environmental Management for the past several years. To his credit, Dr. Tyagi had published 120+ SCI papers with Citation~8600 and an h-index of 51 with a cumulative impact factor >550. More to this, he is leading Five (5) national and international projects related to wastewater and water quality assessment in heavily polluted areas in India. Further, he is also on the reviewer panel of more than 40 international journals belonging to well-known publishers like Elsevier, Nature, Springer Nature, Taylor Francis, ACS, etc. Recently, he was awarded the “India Prime Education Quality Award 2021 for his outstanding contribution to the field of wastewater treatment and Environmental Management. DProf. Prof. Miklas Scholz, cand ing, BEng (equiv), PgC, MSc, PhD, DSc, CWEM, CEnv, CSci, CEng, FHEA, FIEMA, FCIWEM, FICE, Fellow of IWA, Fellow of IETI is a Senior Expert in Water Management at atene KOM, Germany and a Distinguished Professor at Johannesburg University, South Africa. Miklas holds the Chair in Civil Engineering as a Professor at The University of Salford, United Kingdom, and is a Senior Researcher at the South Ural State University, The Russian Federation. He is also a Technical Specialist for Nexus by Sweden and a Hydraulic Engineer at Kunststoff-Technik Adams, Germany. He has published 8 books and 314 journal articles. Prof. Scholz has total citations of about 13718 (8569 citations since 2018), resulting in an h-index of 57 and an i10-Index of 227. He belongs to the top 2% academics regarding the i10-index in the past five years. Miklas also belongs to the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. A bibliometric analysis of all constructed wetland-related publications and corresponding authors with a minimum number of 20 publications and 100 citations indicates that Miklas is on place 5 in the world of about 70 authors (including those who have sadly passed away).
