About this ebook

Andrea Breaux has been on the run for years. But when she encounters a handsome, immortal Scottish warlock and his powerful toddler who adores her, she can’t seem to resist the duo! A fun, spellbinding romance full of hijinks and humor. (Bookbub)

Magic, Mischief & Kilts! A modern-day Scottish warlock paranormal romance by NYT Bestselling Author Michelle M. Pillow.

Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.

For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.

From the Highlands of Scotland to the valleys of Wisconsin... Book Seven of the Warlocks MacGregor® series by NY Times and USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Michelle M. Pillow.

About the Warlocks MacGregor® Series

People know magic is fake--card tricks and illusions, magicians and entertainers. But there is an older magick, a powerful force hidden from modern eyes, buried in folklore and myths, remembered by the few who practice the old ways and respect the lessons of past generations.

The term "warlock" is a variation on the Old English word waerloga, primarily used by the Scots. It meant traitor, monster or deceiver. This fiction-based family includes males and females of magick. The MacGregors do not agree with how history has labeled them, or other supernaturals. To them, warlock means magick, family, and immortality. This series is not a portrayal of modern-day witchcraft or those who hold such beliefs. The MacGregors are a magickal class all their own.

Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love.  And Uncle Raibeart.

Kenneth MacGregor has his hands full trying to raise his young daughter Jewell. Even with the help of his extended, if somewhat disfunctional family, things are not going well. When his mother hires Andrea to be her nanny, he is extremely suspicious. Andrea has been running for the last two years from a dangerous supernatural force. She is just about at her wits end when she ends up in Wisconsin, broke and in need of a job. It’s obvious right away to her that things are not what they seem in the town. When she finds a portal in her motel bathroom directly to the MacGregors house she feels like Alice falling through the rabbit hole. When Marguerite offers her a job as Jewel’s nanny she tries to turn it down, but Jewell has other ideas. This is another hilarious romp with the crazy MacGregor family! I was glad to see Kenneth finally get his happily ever after. After what he has been through the last 25 years he definitely deserves it! Kenneth lives to protect his daughter, a rare, powerful magical being, but being a single parent is hard with a normal child but with such a powerful child he needs the help of his whole family. Andrea has been hunted for the last two years by an entity that she tried to help but it backfired completely. So, she keeps moving until she finds herself in the MacGregor’s Mansion applying for the vacancy of Nanny. Kenneth doesn’t trust Andrea at first, thinking she may be after his daughter for her magic, but eventually he starts to see she may be able to help him, giving him the much-needed support, he needs to raise his daughter. I am so in love with the MacGregors, their lives are chaotic to say the least, but they make it work and have a laugh or two along the way. Looking forward to the next instalment. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.

4 1/2 stars This seventh story in this series is about Kenneth and Andrea was enjoyable read that kept me flipping the pages. the characters (Our couple Kenneth a warlock and Andrea who sees dead people) had chemistry and their romance was steamy, the daughter, Jewel, part Phoenix shifter that's been reborn the third time and whose powers are uncontrollable was adorable, and the malevolent spirit mama Cecile who is after Andrea brought the drama that was engaging. The angst of Kenneth who wants his daughter to survive and have a happy life and not burn in a fire when young was heart tugging. All together a very enjoyable story that I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.
