Michael Stich is currently Associate Professor in Mathematics at the University King Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. His research interests include mathematical modelization of dynamical biological and chemical systems, in particular the modeling of RNA and molecular evolution, antimicrobial resistance, and the origin of life. He is Member of the Spanish network "Nonlinear Dynamics in Biophysical Systems".
Jorge Carballido-Landeira is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Oviedo, Spain. His research focuses on a multidisciplinary field that includes nonlinear dynamics, self-organization processes, colloidal and polymer science, environmental constraints, and fluid mechanics in order to gain an understanding of complex biological systems.
