About the author

Meron Medzini, a native born Israeli, has served as director of the Israel Government Press Office and was Golda Meir’s spokesman in 1973–1974. His book Golda – A Political Biography won the Israel Prime Minister’s Award in 2010. For more than four decades he has taught Israeli studies at the Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School.
