‘One of my favourite Christmas reads. Maxine Morrey writes the most gorgeous heroes' – Jules Wake, author of Covent Garden in the Snow

When professional organiser Kate Stone is asked to declutter Michael’s home in time for Christmas, she’s happy to help.
He may be gorgeous, but Michael might just be the grumpiest, rudest man she’s ever met. If he wasn’t her best friend’s brother, Kate would never have hung around!
But underneath Michael’s icy exterior, Kate is surprised to find a caring man who has struggled since his wife left. While she is more used to sorting messy sock drawers than messy love lives, Kate can’t help making Michael her secret Christmas project.
With the big day only a few weeks away, can Kate and Michael put aside their differences to make his house a home again? And will they find love along the way?

Maxine Morrey has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember and wrote her first (very short) book about an elf for school when she was ten.
Years passed and she continued to write but 'life' often got in the way. She has written articles on a variety of subjects, as well as a local history book and in 2015 she won a contract for her Christmas romcom, Winter's Fairytale.
She is the bestselling author of Things Are Looking Up, #NoFilter, and the Kindle UK top ten read, The Christmas Project, among others.
In 2024, her book You've Got This won The Romantic Comedy Award at the Romantic Novelists' Association award ceremony in London.
When not wrangling with words, she loves to read, sew and listen to podcasts. She can also often be found out on a gentle walk in nature, camera in hand.
