Every story is a delight. The willing suspension comes right at the beginning when you have to accept the clans used the plaids to distinguish between them before the mid 1700' s which is historical. Excepting that, the women are, lovey, strong, and feisty, the men secure, handsome, and loving, and the children quite safely average. Talbot's imagination supplies everything else for these entertaining and enchanting love stories. Her fertile mind presents creative solutions to both typical and atypical story twists ,keeping the reader guessing. An absolute must read for all lovers of Highland settings

I Love these stories of Scotland and highlanders! So strong and tender too. I laughed I cried and Was on an Adventure with all the characters. clean and wholesome through and through. being of Scottish blood myself I was thrilled to discover her books Thank you for your great stories! ❤️👍

brilliant, loved listening to the characters growing, loving and sadly dying. I couldn't put it down
About the author
Marti Talbott lives in Seattle and has written several full length novels, including Seattle Quake 9.2, The Promise, Broken Pledge and Suspects. She began writing the Highlander Series in August of 2009. The first five books are a collection of 20 short stories followed by Betrothed, The Golden Sword, Abducted, A time of Madness, Triplets, Secrets and The Other Side of the River.
