About this ebook

Eva can’t deny the truth forever.

Through a rotted out hole in the ceiling of Eva’s bathroom lurks a creature with gray skin and swollen limbs. It watches her every move.

Each year as the hole has gotten bigger, it’s easier for the creature to emerge. It’s been working on Eva for a while now, helping her avoid the hole, encouraging her to deny it even exists.

What starts out as a difficult home improvement project turns into a terror that Eva won’t be able to ignore. She thinks the creature is harmless, a figment of her imagination.

Eva is wrong. The nightmare is about to begin.

The Collectors is the third book in the An Ominous Hour series. There is a lot packed into this short story! Suspense and horror are definitely part of the theme. There is an underlying message about the condition of mankind and the power of hope. The "women" represent some aspect of life that tears down our souls, leading to despair and hopelessness. Eva showed a strength by overcoming the doubts. Jasmine is the hope. I received a free copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving this review.

I really liked this book. Its a quick read with perfect horror elements. They way she describes the "monsters" is fantastic. The mental portion of this book is a refreshing way of writing. She is wrote down the way we all feel when we are drowning in life. 10/10 recommend!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
