This material is prepared to refer to the competencies as required by the Standard Training Certification of Watch Keeping for Seaferers (STCW) Amendment 2010 Regulation II/1.2, II/2, II/3 with guidance IMO Model Course 7.03 (Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch), IMO Model Course 7.04 (Officer in Charge of A Engineer Watch) and IMO Model Course 3.17 Maritime English 2015 Edition.
It is hoped that with this text book will help the training participants to the better understand the knowledge and skills in determining the position by using various methods available and the tools and the aids of navigation well and correctly and pay attention to the safety aspect.
