About the author

Catherine Boyle is Professor of Latin American Cultural Studies at King's College London. She was a co-founder of the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies. She is Director of the theatre translation and performance project, Out of the Wings, and also of the Head for Heights Theatre Company. She is a translator of Spanish and Spanish American theatre and poetry, and her translations have been performed internationally. Since July 2016 she has been Principal Investigator on the project Language Acts and Worldmaking, dedicated regenerating and transforming approaches to teaching and research in Modern Languages.
