This is definitely not the typical Lynn Burke book; she changed up a few things and I'm so HAPPY she did! This is my favorite book by her to date and I've read almost every book by her. Troy and Silas are everything and I loved watching their story develop and turn into something beautiful! Silas is not your typical guy that you would get out of Lynn's other books; he's a bad boy that has been arrested and who comes in to help him... Troy... Troy is not your typical gay man; he knows exactly what he wants and has standards but.... that changes when he sees Silas for the first time.... The kicker is this story is that Silas is not into men whatsoever but when he sets his eyes on Troy... it's game over... he has an instant attraction to him and I mean who wouldn't have an attraction to Troy or Silas for that matter... This was a phenomenal story and I'm so glad there is a second book because I NEED more of these two even though the next book is NOT MM. Highly recommend!

This MM romance offers some of my favorite sub tropes: Gay-for-You & Suspene (Murder). Silas (billionaire businessman) and Troy (young new defense attorney) have that spark of chemistry from the start. I blazed through this book hooked on the mystery behind Silas’s arrest and the passion these characters have. It has some serious *fan yourself* heat to some scenes. If you are fond of insta-lust turn love, then you do not want to miss out on this book. CW/18+ 4.5/stars

Due Process is part #1 of the Due Justice duet, and is another winner for Lynn Burke. Silas Barlowe is a playboy billionaire who is so used to getting what he wants. When he first meets Troy after he is arrested for alleged murder, he is besotted... "The first-ever male to catch Silas's eye..." Troy Emerson is sent from his law firm as a new associate attorney to represent his client. He sees everything through the eyes of the law and is a great believer in the system. Silas, so protective of those he loves, showed over and over again to what extent he would go to safeguard them. His determination to protect his sister, and to win Troy's heart was swoony. As the story unravelled, Troy, adapted from seeing the world in black and white to support his lover in so many ways, even even going against his inherent nature. What with their instant powerful connection, together with plenty of steamy moments, twists and turns, revelations and joyful moments there was so much to love here.
