Two puzzle pieces Ridge didn’t have the easiest childhood. From being dumped on his father’s doorstep at 3yrs old to a step mother who hated him just for being there. Ridge made it his life’s job to best his father at everything. When he left 10yrs ago Ridge never planned to return to his hometown, after finding his father and his girlfriend in his bed together. However he couldn’t leave his best friend hanging. He promised to be Archer’s best man and Ridge always kept his promise. But noticing that his best friends little sister grew up to be an amazingly beautiful woman while he’d been gone… How was he going to deal with that? From the time Kaia was 8yrs old, she’s always had a crush on Ridge. Problem was he was not only 6yrs older than she was, but he only seen her as his best friends bratty little sister…the little sister he never had. But when he came back to town and she seen him… Well that little kid/teenage crush hadn’t gone away, but it seems to be much stronger!!! To read about the family triangle with Ridge, his father Duke, and Vivi-Ridge’s ex-turned step-mother. The Song of the Soul Mate, and to see how everything flows together between Ridge and Kaia like two puzzle pieces you’ll have to read Million Dollar Cowboy. I absolutely loved how this story unfolded. The different things that came together within this story definitely mate it worth the 5 stars I rated it. Due to sexual situations and adult language, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through Edelweiss for an honest blog tour review. Favorite Passages ~ ~”There’s no such thing as mistakes. Everything we do and experience is a chance to grow and learn. When you look at it that way, nothing can ever go wrong.” ~He wanted to belong to her. He wanted her to belong to him. Not in a grading, controlling, possessive way, but in the perfect way two puzzle pieces fit together. Meant to be. ~The not important thing in the world. Without Kaia, he had no world. She was his sun and his moon and his stars. She was the air he breathed. The water he drank. The soul beneath his feet. The burning fire in his heart.

When you think an author can’t outdo herself after reading her previous books, you get Ms Wilde to prove you wrong ! I have come to the conclusion that this talented author is under-estimated and hope that with this review, others will join me in appreciating her talent. In this story, we have RIdge Lockhart, the illegitimate son of a wealthy rancher, who has become wealthy on his own account and has had a turbulent relationship with his father, all his life. The other main character is Kaia Alzate, the young sister of his best friend, who in their youth followed the two boys everywhere and has had a crush on Ridge most of her life. She is going to school to become a Veterinarian, but has had some stumbling blocks in her way. Still, she embraces life in a way that Ridge doesn’t. Aside from a great storyline there is so much more to this story. It’s a story about family, home and love. A reminder that we have to slow down and literally, stop and smell the roses. A reminder that wealth is not about things, but about experiencing life and cherishing it. That we must put family, love, and relationships above everything else, because that’s where the true treasures in life exist. Thank you , Ms Wilde, for that reminder. I can’t wait for your book to be published. I was gifted this book by Edelweiss and Tasty Book Tours. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
