A daytime fashion show at the Plaza Hotel attracts the most beautiful, cynical, and useless people that New York society has to offer. Swimming among them is A. C. The bullet was intended for Camilla—not to kill her, but to warn her. The gunman is her stepbrother, just one of her mad relations who is desperate to get her out of the way. To save this beauty from her family, James must risk everything he has.

Um höfundinn
Michael Kilian (1939–2005) was born in Toledo, Ohio, and was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and Westchester, New York. He was a longtime columnist for the Chicago Tribune in Washington, DC, and also wrote the Harrison Raines Civil War Mysteries. In 1993, with the help of illustrator Dick Locher, Kilian began writing the comic strip Dick Tracy. Kilian is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
