Under His Direction

I loved seeing the Lieutenant find his happily ever after, yet I feel so conflicted about this. I adored Jerome and Teddy, but I spent a lot of this book being frustrated and mad at Hope. She does all the things that make me fear for my dental work when I read cozy mysteries. I totally understand that she's worried about the loss of her reputation and livelihood, however by inserting herself into the police investigation she jeopardizes getting that reputation and livelihood back. I fully agreed with and sympathized with Jerome every time he tried to tell her “no”. I'm a sucker for a second chance and the ending is everything that is Hollywood perfect. I’m pretty sure real life wouldn’t be as forgiving of all the corners that got cut, so I’m glad I get to enjoy this as simply good fiction. Loved this book. Jerome is a k-9 officer and gets a case involving a stolen painting and one hope summers his ex from high school, hope runs a museum but when a painting goes missing will she lose everything? Will a spark be reignited between them or is he to cold for feelings?

This is the second book in the K-9 Protection Romance series. I love this series. Jerome and Hope's story is sweet, and entertaining. I liked the action, the intrigue, and the romance. This is a great second chance to love. I enjoyed it. Looking forward for more in the series.
