About this ebook

A heart-warming true story of one man's quest to save a rogue herd of elephants, forging an unforgettable bond between humans and the majestic animals of Africa.

When South African conservationist Lawrence Anthony was asked to accept a herd of 'rogue' elephants on his Thula Thula game reserve in Zululand, his common sense told him to refuse. But he was the herd's last chance of survival – dangerous and unpredictable, they would be killed if Anthony wouldn't take them in.

Risking his life, Anthony worked to create a bond with the troubled elephants and persuade them to stay on his reserve. He soon discovered what a remarkable family they were, from wise matriarch Nana who guided the herd, to warrior sister Frankie, always ready to confront any threat, and their calves who fought so hard to survive. The Elephant Whisperer is a moving account of Anthony's race to save these magnificent creatures, with unforgettable characters set against the exotic backdrop of the African wilderness. This enthralling book will appeal to animal lovers and adventurous souls everywhere.

Brilliant book to read as its a true story. I found it interesting, sad, happy and terrifying of what happened to the people and the animals. The love and bravery they showed is out of this world. Just wished I'd read the Elephant Whisperer first.

Fantastic book and a fantastic story of how lorence Anthony with love trained and gained the trust of a herd of rouge elephants who attacked people because of the way they had been treated by man poachers to be correct and the wonderful rolacoaster of ups and downs and at times left you on the edge of your seat wondering how it was going to work out and the lovely relationship Lawrence Anthony had with the elephants especially the matriarch nanna well worth a read especially for animal lovers or anyone.
