However, just when Sam’s life has become as perfect as a Hallmark movie, she and Tommy are returned to their mother, where nothing has changed. As the cycle of living on the streets returns, Sam decides it’s time to make things right.

This is a young adult story that is inspirational and touching. It also pulls are your heartstrings. It delves into homelessness and foster care. The story felt very real to me and gives you insight into a teenagers views. I enjoyed this story a lot.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Laurie Robinson; I can’t wait to read more of her books. The story is about Samantha & her brother Tommy; they are placed in a foster home but the foster brother Spencer hates her, she works hard to make it work and things finally start to fall into place but then they are returned to their mother. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
About the author
Lauri Robinson lives in Minnesota where she and her husband spend every spare moment with their three grown sons and their families—spoiling the grandchildren. She’s a member of Romance Writers of America and Northern Lights Writers. Her favorite getaway location is along the Canadian Border of Northern Minnesota on the land homesteaded by her great-grandfather.
