This is Peter Steiner's second novel in the Louis Morgon thriller series; the first, Le Crime, originally published in hardcover under the title A French Country Murder, is available in paperback from Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Minotaur. Also known for his cartoons in The New Yorker, he lives in Connecticut.
