About this ebook

In First Lady Games, Kyina Q. Routt delivers a riveting, high-stakes, slow-burn romance wrapped in holy oil, designer heels, and Texas-sized secrets.

Valarie Bennett isn’t your average preacher’s wife—she’s a fierce, faith-rooted businesswoman with a past that tried to break her and a mouth that never stays silent when the stakes are high.

Pastor Dalton Matthews, Underneath that clerical collar is billionaire real estate king with a past, a plan, and a heart that only beat steady when she was near.

When their worlds collided, so did the whispers: church mothers side-eyeing in sequins, salty exes creeping back from the shadows, and a Southern congregation that loves its gossip almost as much as its gospel.

First Lady Games serves heart, heat, and holy warfare. This is not your average church love story.

This is war in stilettos.

This is redemption, Black love, and bold power plays.

And honey… once you open this book, you won’t be able to put it down.

About the author

I write for the women who carry grace in one hand, strategy in the other, and still walk with their heads held high — even when the world underestimates them. I’m Kyina Q. Routt — author of Church Chronicles series featuring First Lady Games, where scandal, faith, and power collide. My stories are deeply rooted in the legacy of Black women who survive storms in stilettos and build empires with wisdom and fire. I’m a proud wife of 24 years, a mother of two incredible sons, and a business owner with a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s in information technology management.
