Heartbreaking amazing WW2 novel with a happy ending. The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau is the same book. Colette's mom was arrested and murdered by a cruel German for stealing a priceless bracelet, which he had stolen from a Jewish family. Her mother, a jewel thief, had taught her only to steal from bad people and to help those in need which is what she does. Highly recommend this book, sad moments but has a happy ending. Kristin Harmel is one of my favourite authors.
