A drunken bet that led to a fake relationship? My naive little heart still hoped it would last...
We were never meant to be together.
Heâs a bartender with noncommittal tendencies.
Iâm looking for âĻ the opposite. Commitment. Period.
But drinks and a bet led to something it shouldnât have: a fake relationship. Worse, a first date, a first kissâĻ and then more.
Heâs addictive and I canât bring myself to accept the reality.
That itâs all a lie and Iâm fooling myself by thinking he could want more. That I could change him.
Heâs mine for as long as I keep on pretending like this is just for fun.
As if I donât want moreâĻ
Like when he whispers my name, I pretend it doesnât make my heart flip.
Like when he holds me at night, I pretend I donât want to lay in his bed every night.
It's just a bet; just a lie . . . until it isn't.

I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read smut and I read EVERYTHING. I would read a book a day â sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. And I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?
I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. Itâs insane to me that I have so many fans. And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. Iâll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my two littles (Jax whoâs two and a half and Evie who just turned one!) during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a fan and it makes me want to push through and keep writing. And I do. I promise I wonât stop!
