Das Thema Religion ist nicht mehr allein in der Theologie zu Hause, und die Geschichte des Christentums nicht allein in der klassischen Kirchengeschichte an Theologischen Fakultäten. Der vorliegende Band geht auf eine Tagung zurück, in der theologisch und religionswissenschaftlich verortete Fachvertreter und -vertreterinnen in fruchtbarem Miteinander Fragen ihres Fachs diskutierten. There is a broad approach to religious studies, including the history of Christianity which is not only a matter in classical Church history in theological faculties. This volume presents the contributions to a conference held by the editors, enriched by several more essays. They deal with the foundations of the disciplines concerned as well as with the history and present some exemplary studies from antiquity to recent history. Its aim is to deepen scholarly reflections on disciplinary customs and principles and to inspire further dialogue.
