Manferic III, the former ruler of Ankhapur and Pinch’s guardian, has died, leaving behind no clear heir to his throne. Pinch’s outlaw days have prepared him for life in mean streets. But is he ready for the dangers that lurk in courtly hallways, among royal relatives and dagger-bearing shadows?

David “Zeb” Cook is an award-winning game designer and author who worked for TSR, Inc. for over one decade. During his time there, he was the lead designer on the 2nd edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game as well as the Planescape campaign setting. He is also the author of four Forgotten Realms novels, including Soldiers of Ice and King Pinch, and is an inductee of the Origins Hall of Fame.
