Marcus

'Marcus' is the sixth and final book in Kathi S. Barton's "Prince of Tigers" series. This isn't an over-the-top story with outlandishly rotten characters as are in some of Ms. Barton's books but it does have the push and pull between Dakota and Marcus that comes with fated mates. Dakota has been dealt the short straw in life. Being married and then having the local paper in their small town print an article claiming her husband had shot several fellow servicemen and then himself was heartbreaking enough. Then to add insult to injury it stated he was also a traitor to his country which also bled over into hers and her daughter's lives. These two characters' story is far different from what I usually read from Ms. Barton but it is poignant and they are given an extraordinary life that comes to benefit so many others that would not have it if it weren't for them. Overall, it was just a feel-good read.
