Punk war in Deutschland auch über die 1980er-Jahre hinaus eine bestimmende Jugend- und Subkultur. Anhand bisher kaum ausgewerteter Selbstzeugnisse rekonstruiert Karl Siebengartner die Erfahrungen von Punks in der Bundesrepublik von 1976 bis 1995. Darüber hinaus zieht er komplementäre Quellenbestände heran, um die Jugendlichen in den politischen und massenkulturellen Kontexten zu situieren. Durch den kultur- und sozialgeschichtlichen Zugang tritt die Jugendkultur als komplexe, alltägliche Lebenswelt und als Projektionsfläche gesellschaftlichen und medialen Wandels im letzten Drittel des 20. Jahrhunderts hervor.
About the author
Karl Siebengartner, geb. 1988, ist Historiker mit den Schwerpunkten Kulturgeschichte, Jugendkultur und Pop-Phänomenen. Er wurde 2023 an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München promoviert.
