About the author

Josiane Boccoli was born in the city of São Paulo. She is the granddaughter of Japanese immigrants and holds a degree in Physical Education. She and her husband, former football player Gustavo Boccoli, have known each other since childhood. They studied together until the 5th grade, but he began pursuing a football career and had to change schools. Years passed, he moved to Italy, and they lost contact. In December 2000, he returned to Brazil to visit family, and they reunited. It was during this time that they started dating, and six months later, they got married and soon moved to Israel. Together, they opened a football school in the city of Haifa. It was a social project for boys with limited means; to be part of it, they needed to get good grades in school. The couple also engaged in social work with couples in Israel for five years. In addition to their collaborative projects, Josi volunteered with women who had been victims of violence, providing personal care and giving motivational talks. Currently, she is dedicated to sharing her experiences and insights with families of autistic children from various parts of the world who reach out to her through her social media channels.
